AHS: Murder House Just now realized that the music that plays in the beginning of the first episode of AHS: Murder House is the theme music from the 2000 film What Lies Beneath. It stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford, and is the story of a housewife (former cellist) and her husband (a college professor). After moving into a new house, Pfeiffer’s character starts experiencing supernatural events, soon becoming convinced that the place is haunted (the first half of the film tricks you into thinking that it’s a Rear Window ripoff, actually). Her hubby (Ford) dismisses her concerns as irrational and likely a result of severe empty-nest-syndrome. Then the wife realizes that her husband was having an affair with one of his students, whom he later murdered, and that’s who’s been haunting their house. Basically, aside from the Anti-Christ and Franken-baby plots, I just described one of the main storylines from AHS: Murder House. I only point this out because I’ve yet to see anyone (even TV Tropes) make this connection.

Watching #PopFan on LMN Whyyyy… Why, why, why does Xavier have to turn into an obsessive stalker? He’s cute, and fit, and kind of geeky (can’t not find the X-Men quips endearing), plus he lives in a lighthouse (my second pick for dream abodes, following Victorian townhouses). And he’s adorably self-depreciating, playing the Well Done Son Guy trope and making us feel bad for him because he’s way too cute to have been an army brat, you just know that it can’t have been easy for him… Damnit, I never thought that I’d say this, but, why can’t this be a cheesey Hallmark movie where he’s the shy, awkward love interest instead of LMN’s lame Misery rip-off? Doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t have taken that hammer to his head the minute I had the chance. Prolonged shirtless scene or not (even still, damn his abs…and his hipbones…betcha he has back dimples, too, unf). P. S., I also love the stained glass window headboard.

jessaverant asked you:
Hello! I’m getting ready to buy the Rainy Day Darling dress, but I’m not sure how to dress it up for work. I can imagine wearing it with sandals at the beach but other than that, how can it be dressed up? Thank you!

Hey there! The Rainy Day Darling dress could totally be dressed up for work with a few simple additions. A neutral piece like the In Living Monochrome Blazer instantly creates a professional appearance, especially when paired with darling shoes such as the Cruising Altitude Wedge in Navy. Add a structured bag and an armful of bracelets - I’m particularly fond of the Retro Rosie Bracelet in both colors - and you’ll find yourself with a super versatile piece that can easily transition from your work to personal life!
